How to begin..

Yoga is for every ~ body...no matter how young or old you are or whether you've been a couch potato for longer than you care to admit or a professional athlete. Size, level of fitness, or flexibility doesn't matter because there are always choices for every yoga pose. The idea is to explore your limits and grow from there. Yoga prepares you for life. What I mean by that is it keeps the body fit for everyday movements and activities. It keeps the mind exploring and growing and the spirit alive. In your first session you will learn alignment in postures, how to breathe, how to relax and begin to open your heart to the possibilities that life has to offer.

for the body...
Yoga creates a toned, flexible, and strong body. Improves respiration, energy, and vigor. Helps you to maintain a balanced metabolism and promotes cardio and circulatory health. Helps to release tension, pain and prevents and heals injuries. Boosts the immune system and improve athletic performance.

Also by coordinating breath and movement and gently stretching muscles and joints as well as massaging the internal organs, yoga ensures the optimum blood supply to all parts of the body. This helps to flush out toxins from the system and to eliminate stress hormones and at the same time maximizing nourishment to your body. It improves your complexion, increases vitality and recharges your zest (even if you think you've lost it).

for the mind...
Yoga promotes mental clarity. Helps you to relax and handle stressful situations more effectively. Teaches you how to quiet the mind so you can focus your energy where you want it to go - into a yoga posture, or sports activities or in the workplace. Encourages positive thoughts and self-acceptance. Flexible body - flexible mind.

for the spirit...
Builds awareness of your body, of your feelings, of the world around you, and of the needs of others. Working with the breath unifies mind, body, and spirit. Improves the quality of your life, enhances your creativity, opens the heart to the flow of grace and cultivates peace of mind.
