Yoga for Teens:
Yoga helps to promote union of body and mind. As their practice grows so will
their awareness and ability to look within, think for themselves and trust
themselves. The result is a more peaceful and self confident young adult who is
dealing with this period of rapid change. He/she will be better able to engage
the world with a more positive outlook. Yoga is also a highly recommended
supplement to any sports-related activity
.
Yoga for Adults:
Yoga makes you feel better. Practicing the postures, breathing exercises and meditation helps
you to become healthier in body, mind and spirit. Yoga lets you tune in, chill out, and shape up
all at the same time. For many people that's enough of an answer. But there's more if you*re
interested. For starters, yoga is good for what ails you. Research shows that yoga helps manage
or control anxiety, arthritis, asthma, back pain, blood pressure, carpel tunnel syndrome, chronic
fatigue, depression, epilepsy, headaches, heart disease, multiple sclerosis, stress and other
conditions and diseases. But best of all...it feels great.

Family Yoga: A yoga class for kids and parents is a great way to come together as a family, to build trust and to
make new discoveries about one another. The combination of two generations makes it more fun for everyone.
Everyone can enjoy practicing this ancient exercise form that develops strength, coordination, focus and stress-coping
skills. For children yoga’s physical and mental benefits are the same as for adults. Children of the fast-paced,
media-saturated 21st Century can turn to yoga as an avenue for relaxation. Children who usually shy away from
physical activity suddenly have a physical outlet in which they can succeed and shine. Every~body can do yoga and it's
fun!
Guideline - sessions are encouraged for children aged 5 years and up
.

get your body back into shape while bonding with your baby. Mommy and Me sessions are designed to give you a fun
and slightly rigorous yoga practice, strengthening your body and calming your mind while helping your baby feel
comfortable in his/her body. Nurture yourself and your baby by sharing your practice.

Make sure you have your doctor’s approval to begin exercising. Got any friends interested? Make it even more fun with
a group.
Partner yoga: Partner yoga can be practiced with your friend, lover - even your child. It is a new step in the
evolution of yoga; the practice blends mutually beneficial postures, conscious breathing and most of all
playfulness and fun.The postures are designed to improve balance, strength and flexibility as well as increase
the level of trust and communication between you and your partner. Partner yoga is perfect for anyone - a novice
or seasoned yoga practitioner - who is interested in increasing fitness, releasing tension, strengthening
relationships/friendships and having a good time. So find a partner and explore the possibilities.
Office Yoga: Would you like employees in your organization to be stronger, more flexible, healthier, to have clearer minds,
and be calm and focused in the face of challenge? Consider the numerous benefits of yoga at work, such as developing an
awareness of the effects of stress in our lives, and aquiring the skills with which to manage it. This naturally extends from the
individual participant to the work environment in which they are contributing.

A regular practice brings improved health in mind and body, increases energy, well-being and productivity. Yoga at work is
more than just exercise and relaxation; more than a general yoga class; more than a conventional course in stress
management. It is a complete program of mind-body health, including personal challenge and self-acceptance.

Benefits to participants in the workplace:
healthier staff, physically, mentally and emotionally
reduces mental and physical stress and tension
builds concentration and mental clarity
improves staff morale and enjoyment
increases personal productivity and eradicates fatigue
develops staff rapport and communication skills
re-balances body and mind
reduces the number of staff sick days

All that’s needed to conduct a program in your workplace is a suitable room large enough for the number of participants, plus
yoga mats for each participant. Yoga mats may be purchased from Stephanie at a reduced price. For more information please

Yoga for Seniors and Nursing Home Residents:
Growing Old is the stage when you have more time for yourself, your family, for leisure, recreation and
relaxation. However, it is also the time when you are more susceptible to some ailments that are linked to old
age such as Arthritis, Rheumatism, incontinence and High Blood Pressure. This raises the need for the seniors to
stay fit and healthy during this time in their lives. But the degeneration of the body also sets some limits to the
types of exercises they can do. This leads to the practice of milder forms of exercise such as jogging, brisk
walking, and Yoga.

Yoga can be adapted to the needs and abilities of our Senior Citizens and Nursing Home residents and deals with
your whole being. It makes the body fitter, the mind calmer and more relaxed. Yoga is also beneficial in the
prevention and control of common health and emotional problems. It helps you in becoming more in touch with
yourself and your body enabling you to accept who you are and the state you are in which creates a positive
approach in life.

Depending on the needs of the group, yoga for seniors and nursing home residents can be done in chairs,
standing holding the back of a chair or on the floor on a regular yoga mat. Yoga truely is for Every ~ Body.
If you know of a Seniors group that might be interested or belong to one and would like to have a
class brought to your meeting place, please contact Stephanie for more information. See below.

"After my first yoga class with
Stephanie I was hooked. I
leave her class feeling like
I’ve worked, but also feeling
like I’ve got a lot of
energy—and I feel happy! I am
an athletic person, and yoga
helps me to keep doing what I
like to do—bike riding,
playing tennis, walking, and
skiing—without the minor
injuries and aches that I used
to get. Yoga also helps me
strengthen the muscles that
don’t get enough attention,
esp. in my back, shoulders,
and arms. It also helps me
practice focus, relaxation, and
positive thinking. Stephanie
creates a professional and
supportive environment for
our yoga practice. Her
training is thorough, and her
heart is really into to this. You
can tell that this is what she
loves to do!" Kaki P.

"Stephanie visited our yoga classes at Mendham
High School as a guest instructor. Prior to her
sessions with the classes, the students were
skeptical about the process and philosophy of this
fine art. Her enthusiasm and knowledge boosted the
students' awareness and many expressed interest in
pursuing further classes." Robin

"My yoga practice has given me a sense of
well being and inner peace during a very
difficult time in my life. I believe that yoga
has helped me to be calm and has eased my
stress. I am not an athletic person, and I have
noticed that my arms and legs are more
toned. I have also been able to do poses I
never thought possible with Stephanie's
guidance. Stephanie is able to adjust poses
for any level. You never feel judged. I look
forward to going to yoga. Yoga is the
greatest thing I have done for myself."
